WAKUWAKU JAPAN Channel joins basic pack of “Kbro”, the largest Cable Operator in Taiwan from 25th April, 2019

WAKUWAKU JAPAN Corporation (Headquarters: Tokyo, Minato-ku, President & CEO: Masafumi Kawanishi, hereinafter WAKUWAKU JAPAN) announces that its Japanese general entertainment channel “WAKUWAKU JAPAN” joins basic pack of the biggest pay-TV cable platform “Kbro” operated by Kbro Inc. (Kbro) from 25th April, 2019.

Kbro is the largest Multi Service Cable Operator (MSO) in Taiwan and WAKUWAKU JAPAN has been carried by its HD package from September 2016 with limited number of subscribers. With WAKUWAKU JAPAN’s performance and growing popularity in Taiwan, Kbro agreed to migrate WAKUWAKU JAPAN channel to its basic pack, which reaches Kbro’s entire subscriber base.

Taiwan's pay TV basic pack penetration is one of the highest in the world reaching 84% of all households in Taiwan, almost on par with free to air TV reach. WAKUWAKU JAPAN was recently added to basic pack of 2nd largest pay-TV cable platform “CNS” in July 2018.
